June Bug Fabric Postcard

I received this dragonfly fabric postcard from my partner. Can you believe this is the first fabric postcard that she has ever made? Bravo....It is wonderful.

I received this fabric in a bag of scraps from a dear friend and fellow swapper on swap-bot. She sent me fabrics for an I spy quilt. I couldn't resist using this for the June Bug fabric postcard swap I hosted last month on swap-bot.

April's Fabric Postcard

I received this in the mail form my swap partner. She is from Canada. I asked her how she created it. She said she watered down some paints. Then painted the fabric. Very cute. I love it.

Postcards from Abroad...

I received these beauties in the mail last week from Beatrice. She lives in Canada. Her mother, Doreen, and I are both swappers on Swap-Bot. Doreen asked if I would like to trade fabric postcards with Beatrice. Well, Yes mame. I am always up for encouraging young minds to try new things. She did a fabulous job. I love the appliqued leaf on the monkey fabric postcard. Great Job Beatrice. Keep up the good work.

More Heart Fabric Postcards

I received these in the mail today. Aren't they darling? On the first one you can see where it went through the postal machine and it got dirty. Pout, Pout. This is why I mail them in envelopes.

Fabric Postcard and Free Motion Quilting Practice

I found an awesome site that has tutorials for free motion quilting. Fabric postcards are the perfect size to practice this on because they are small. I practiced pebbling on this fabric postcard. I used purple variegated thread. It is hard to tell in the picture. It was a lot of fun and not overwhelming because of the size. I will definitely be doing this more often with different patterns. Fiber Art Fabric Postcards

I came across a bag of yarn from a swap. I decided I wanted to try to incorporate some of it in my new fabric postcards. The cat fabric postcard will be going to Sweden. The other is heading to Mass.
